4 Top Tips to Lose Weight Quickly
Posted by Robert
Did you look in the mirror this morning and quickly look away again? Those extra pounds can make looking in the mirror a painful experience, believe me we have all been there! If you are like me and you have decided that the weight gain has to end now you should continue reading. I will show you how it is possible to lose a significant amount of weight in a relatively short space of time without any fancy pills, patches or potentially dangerous fad diets. Here are 4 of the most simple weight loss tips:
1. Make sure you have a good breakfast, it is probably the one meal of the day that we all tend to skip - especially if it means we can spend little longer in bed! It has been proven however, that weight loss programs are far more successful if the metabolism is kick started with a good breakfast. Make sure it is healthy though - say a bowl of whole grain cereal with some semi skimmed or skimmed milk some fruit juice (preferably unsweetened) and a cup coffee or tea.
2. Traditionally we sit down to 3 large meals per day - with goodness knows how many snacks in between. To lose weight, we need to get rid of any fatty, sugary snacks but it is a good idea to eat regularly. By consuming say 6 smaller meals throughout the day the metabolism will speed up and result in weight loss. Again, it is important that these are meals low in fat, salt and sugar. Use lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, particularly go for the ones which are in season that way you can get some variety and it will cost less.
3. Take some exercise, if you are not accustomed to doing this start off gently no one will expect you to run a marathon in the first week! Maybe by just going for a brisk walk or a gentle swim or jog perhaps. Why not try to fit it in at lunchtime instead of staying at your desk. Don’t be frightened to take a rest day from exercise particularly if you feel stiff and sore to begin with.
4. A body detox day can be a good idea. I would not advise doing this over long periods of time but you could try having one day in the week where you only consume fresh fruit and raw vegetables accompanied by plenty of water. To fill you up a little more you could perhaps have a portion of carbohydrate in the form of pasta.
All of these are very basic suggestions to help you lose those unwanted pounds. The basis of which is all about having a sensible diet and incorporating some form of physical exercise to suit your ability. If you follow these tips the weight reduction will be seen fairly quickly possibly as soon as one week. It proves that there is no need to swallow pills, eat disgusting “diet food” or waste time on expensive fad diets. It only takes a bit of effort and good old common sense!
