There are 2 components to losing weight so the best way to shed the pounds must contain the best of these 2 components also. These are diet and exercise.
Diet
If your only goal is to lose weight then you need to have as large a calorific deficit as possible. This means eating around 1000 calories less per day. But how can you easily do this?
Portion Control
If you split your meals into 6 per day, each of around 150 calories, and then eat about every two to three hours then you will stop the hunger pangs.
150 calories is just enough food to stop you being hungry and keep you going for a few more hours.
I recommend eating fruit, steamed vegetables, lean meat. Whatever you do, don’t eat any junk. You automatically know what junk is. The problem with junk is that if you eat one junk meal you can be back on the unhealthy eating bandwagon again immediately. Don’t be tempted.
Exercise
The other essential component of the best way to lose weight is exercise.
Now I don’t mean working out in a gym. The gym has got to be the single most boring place that man has ever worked up a sweat. Also, the machines are not as good as a real workout - for instance the treadmill is effectively a bouncy rubber mat and its very easy to do half an hour on a treadmill without even working up a sweat.
Instead I recommend you take to the outdoors and do some interval training. Interval training is great because you can spend half the time on this type of workout and burn twice as much fat.
