Exercise - A Healthy Habit to Start and Keep - Burn Fat All Day Long

Starting to exercise feels like being punished for years of inactivity. If you are starting to exercise you cannot expect to run a marathon in the first month. You should start out with light activities and slowly increase the intensity. If you are on a diet at the same time it is important to not only do cardio exercises and condition training. You should also do some strength training.

Why?

Our body has evolved over millenniums and it is extremely complex. If it notices that you do not need your muscle it will start to burn muscle mass for energy. The body is careful when it comes to the fat stored. Your body wants to keep this for a real starvation period. However if you do strength training aka weight lifting your body is under the impression that you need the muscle mass to cope with daily living and it starts to use your fat for energy (basically this means that you start to lose fat weight).

How?

If your exercise program is properly put together it will make your body burn fat all day long. I found a program that works very well for me. It combines weight lifting with some cardio exercises. You start with an exercise that gets your pulse up to approximately 80% of your max pulse. You then do two sets of weight lifting and then you do another pulse raising activity. When?

You should use every chance you get to get some activity. Examples are that you should take the stairs instead of the elevator. If it is possible walk or go by bike to work. Use your coffee break for a walk, park your car far from the entrance to the shop. Do your housework at a fast pace. Do yard work like raking leaves etc. These are just a few examples of where you could fit in time for exercise. As referred to earlier, you could go to my site to get a program that takes about 30 minutes to go through and it should be done two times per week and in combination with daily activities like the above it works excellently well.
