A tummy tuck candidate should be seeking surgical help only after other efforts of diet and exercise have failed to produce the desired results. Additionally, tummy tucks are a way to remove excess skin after weight loss or childbirth and stretch marks.
It is very important that a person makes sure they are a good candidate for a tummy tuck procedure before scheduling their surgery. If they are not a good candidate then the surgery should be avoided or postponed. You should be able to discuss your situation with your doctor to decide if you are a good candidate for such surgery or not.
