Get Your Emotions In Order For You To Succeed In Fitness

The way you think affects the way you feel, and the way you feel affects the way you respond to different life situations. Life is a decision making process, so that if you allow your emotions to control your decision making process, then you are bound to make emotional decisions. This is particularly important in health and fitness because a lot of the current conditions affecting a huge chunk of the population, are because of the decisions that people make.
The so called “do what feels good” mentality is a double edged sword, since it sometimes leads to destructive decisions, such as eating too much junk food, watching too much t.v as well as being caught up in abusive relationships.
You need to realize that an emotional decision is not a good decision, your decisions should always be based on sound judgment, even it doesn’t “feel good”. You see consumerism has damaged a lot of peoples’ decisions, so that they’ll only respond positively to what feels good. Wake up! Not everything that feels good, is good for you!
I know that you can testify to the numerous occasions friends and relatives have tried to make you forsake your fitness. This could have been a meal, drinking too much, or staying up all night. My prayer over here is that you’ll learn how to say no to the bad and yes to the good.
A good illustration is the way people make purchases in society. Why would you invest in a fitness product, just because such and such celebrity has endorsed it. I’m not against celebrity endorsement, I am against blindly following any celebrity endorsement, let’s use our brains for once!
You can’t let the “floss” dictate your purchases. you’ll end up being frustrated, which in turn affects your enthusiasm to workout. Equipment junkies have a ton of equipment in their basements and they show nothing in terms of how they’ve improved their fitness. Are you an equipment junkie?
Boundaries are an interesting element of your character. Weak boundaries are responsible for a lot of missteps when it comes to personal management and. You need to guard your heart and soul selfishly to ensure that you don’t let other people, or trends define you. The truth shall set you free!
Understand and accept the lord as your saviour and all these things (fitness and health) shall be added onto you. Amen
